Therapeutic use

Dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, or psoriasis.

Pregnancy and lactiation implications

It is not known whether coal tar preparations can cause fetal harm when used topically by pregnant women (should be used during pregnancy only when clearly needed). It is not known whether topically applied coal tar is absorbed and/or distributed into milk.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to coal tar or any component of the formulation.

Warnings and precautions

May increase photosensitivity. For external use only.
