Hypersensitivity to medrysone or any component of the formulation. Fungal, viral, or untreated pus-forming bacterial ocular infections. Not for use in iritis and uveitis.
Warnings and precautions
Steroids might mask infection or enhance existing ocular infection. Possible secondary infections due to immunosuppression (with prolonged use). Prolonged use may result in glaucoma and injury to optic nerve. Visual defects in acuity and field of vision might also occur. Posterior subcapsular cataracts may form after long-term use. Use with caution in presence of glaucoma (steroids increase intraocular pressure). Perforation may occur with topical steroids in diseases which thin cornea or sclera. Steroid use may delay healing after cataract surgery.
