Pharmacologic Category
EENT Preparations; Vasoconstrictors. Adrenergic Agonist Agent. Imidazoline Derivative. (ATC-Code: R01AB07; S01GA04).
Mechanism of action
Stimulates α-adrenergic receptors in arterioles of nasal mucosa to produce vasoconstriction.
Therapeutic use
Adjunctive therapy of middle ear infections, associated with acute or chronic rhinitis, common cold, sinusitis, hay fever, or other allergies. Relief of redness of eye due to minor eye irritations.

Hypersensitivity to oxymetazoline or any component of the formulation.
Warnings and precautions
Rebound nasal congestion may occur with extended use (>3 days).
