Pharmacologic Category

Skin and Mucous Membrane Agents; Antifungals, Miscellaneous; Topical Antifungal Agent. (ATC-Code: D01AE04).

Mechanism of action

Retards proliferation of fungus by altering conditions of growth.

Therapeutic use

Treatment of athlete’s foot (tinea pedis), ringworm (except nails and scalp), prickly heat, jock itch (tinea cruris), diaper rash, and other minor skin irritations due to superficial dermatophytes.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to undecylenic acid and derivatives or any component. Fungal infections of scalp or nails.

Warnings and precautions

Sensitivity or irritation might occur. Not for self-medication in children <2 years of age. For topical use only.
